The Carnival Ball at Copacabana PalaceThe richness of the Brazilian fauna is the inspiration for the Copacabana Palace's Carnival Ball of 2010. The Butterfly Magic Ball was inspired by the visit of the creator and producer of the festival, Zeka Marquez, at the Hotel das Cataratas in Foz do Iguassu. Located by the famous waterfalls inside the Iguassu National Park, you can find at the hotel many different species of butterflies with thousands of colors and sizes. The Carnival Ball is traditionally held every Saturday of Carnival for 17 years. "I had chosen another theme, but when I saw the beauty of the butterflies in Foz do Iguassu, which are the most beautiful and delicate nature, I was delighted and could not resist portraying them," Zeka Markez says. The Carnival Ball will be held on February 13th, from 11 p.m with live band, Samba School presentation and DJ, with an extensive buffet prepared by the Executive Chef, Francesco Carli and open bar.'
