Cristalino Jungle Lodge

The Cristalino Jungle Lodge is committed to helping visitors have a wonderful experience in the forest while learning about the environment and its importance for our daily lives. Our guides are passionate nature lovers who will share their knowledge and respect for the environment.  We believe that a joyful and positive experience in the forest will deeply enhance one’s relationship with nature.
The lodge was built in harmony with the surrounding forest and with respect for the region. We offer eco-friendly bungalows and adhere to sustainable practices. The limited number of rooms ensures that our guests will have personalized attention and a unique experience.

The lodge is home to a very diverse and unique ecosystem, with over 570 species of birds and 2,000 species of butterflies. There are many types of mammals and the flora is very rich in terms of biodiversity. The lodge plays an important role in conservation by protecting 29,652 acres of primary rainforest and contributing with important conservation projects in this region.

The Critsalino Package Includes:

* 1st Day - Arrival in Alta Floresta, pick up and transfer to Cristalino Jungle Lodge. Upon arrival, there will be an introduction to the lodge and to your accommodations. Library and maps are available.

* 2nd Day - In the morning, hike towards the 50 meter Canopy Tower whereyou will be able to see the forest from above the canopy. Monkeys, macaws and several species of birds can be found here. Then, walk the Ficus Trail, where a giant Ficus Tree is found. In the afternoon, walk the Taboca Trail in an area with seasonally flooded forest,where many monkeys can be found.

* 3rd Day - In the morning, hike towards the Saleiro House - a rustic tree house located in the middle of the forest reserve.The soil here is naturally rich in minerals, and is often visited by large forest mammals such as the South american Tapir (Tapirus terrestris), Collared Peccary (Pecari tajacu), White-lipped Peccary (Tayassu pecari), the Giant Anteater (Myrmecophaga tridactylaand) and the Southern Tamandua (Tamandua tetradactyla). By the afternoon, boat trip up river and hike the remarkable Brazil Nut Trail in a region withenormous Brazil Nut Trees. On the way back it is possible to canoe or boat ride, watching the afternoon as you go down river.

* 4th Day - Light hike in the Tapiri Trail, where the White-whiskered-spider-monkey (Atelis marginatus), symbol of Cristalino State Park, can be seen. Transfer to Alta Floresta. Lunch and departure to Cuiaba.
